Documented version: 1.1.2Dependency: Simple GUI APIModrinth ↗

Capture normally with F2, then open the in-game gallery with F8. This documentation describes the behavior of the version shown above; labels may differ on older builds.

  • Use a Minecraft profile made for testing when trying the mod for the first time.
  • Match the mod file to both the Minecraft version and loader shown above.
  • Install the dependency listed in the information panel when it is not “None.”
  • Back up the profile’s configuration before replacing an older release.

Use the Modrinth link in the information panel above. Check the selected file’s Minecraft version and loader before downloading.

  1. Close Minecraft and its launcher process for the profile.
  2. Open that profile’s game directory, then open the mods folder.
  3. Put this mod and its required dependency into mods. Do not extract JAR files.
  4. Remove incompatible duplicate versions of the same mod from that profile.
  5. Start the matching loader profile and open Mods or the title screen to confirm a clean launch.

Open Minecraft Controls and search for ScreenshotUtility, or open the mod’s settings entry. The gallery uses F8, settings use F7, and normal capture continues to use Minecraft’s standard F2 key. A missing entry usually means the wrong loader/version was installed or a dependency failed to load.

Close the game before replacing the JAR. Keep the existing config until the new version has launched successfully. To remove the mod, delete only its JAR; keep the config if you may reinstall it later.
