  1. Close Minecraft and confirm there is only one ScreenshotUtility JAR in the test profile.
  2. Confirm Minecraft version, loader, this mod, and its dependency belong to the same supported set.
  3. Launch with only this mod and required dependencies when testing a conflict.
  4. Reproduce with default settings or a fresh profile without deleting the original config.
  5. Read the latest log from the first warning/error related to the mod, not only the final crash line.

Refresh and confirm the image exists in Minecraft’s screenshots folder.

Use standard F2 and compare once with shaders disabled.

Older or external images may lack location metadata; use normal file actions.

The gallery uses F8, settings use F7, and normal capture continues to use Minecraft’s standard F2 key. Search Controls for both the mod name and “category.” Resolve red key conflicts, then restart once. If the key entry is absent, inspect the loader log for a dependency or initialization failure.

Provide Minecraft version, loader and loader version, ScreenshotUtility version, Simple GUI API version when used, exact reproduction steps, expected/actual behavior, and the relevant latest log. Include a screenshot only when it shows the problem and contains no server address, token, or personal information.

Back up the profile’s config folder, then move only this mod’s config out while Minecraft is closed. Launch once to generate defaults. If the issue remains, restore the saved config because the cause is likely a version mismatch or another mod.
